Wayne Locke is the Chief Financial Officer with more than 25 years of experience helping high-growth, private equity-backed, and public companies scale operations, modernize finance functions, and drive enterprise-wide performance improvement. He specializes in strategic finance, ERP and systems implementation, operational optimization, FP&A, and finance infrastructure development for organizations navigating periods of rapid growth and transformation.

Wayne has a proven track record of building finance organizations from the ground up, implementing scalable financial and operational processes, and partnering with executive leadership, investors, and boards to support long-term strategic objectives. His experience spans SaaS, insurance, financial services, and technology-enabled businesses, where he has led complex finance transformation initiatives, strengthened reporting capabilities, enhanced controls and compliance, and developed KPI-driven operating frameworks.

Prior to joining DLA, Wayne served as CFO & Agency President at Vave Underwriters, where he helped lead the company’s transition from a Lloyd’s-only coverholder to a multi-carrier U.S. platform. In this role, he built operational and financial infrastructure, improved cash remittance processes, reduced DSO from 105 to 30 days, and enhanced financial visibility and reporting across the organization.

Previously, Wayne served as Global CFO at Mission Underwriters, a private equity-backed program administrator that scaled to more than $335 million in gross written premium within three years of launch. He built the finance organization from inception, developed enterprise reporting and KPI frameworks, implemented automation and ERP solutions, and partnered closely with executive leadership and sponsors on strategic planning, budgeting, and capital management initiatives.

Wayne also founded WEL Consulting, where he has advised startups, private equity-backed businesses, and Fortune 500 organizations on finance transformation, operational strategy, ERP implementation, financial diligence, and interim CFO leadership. Earlier in his career, Wayne served as CFO at Majesco, where he played a key role in transforming the finance organization to support the company’s SaaS operating model and contributed to the company’s successful acquisition.

In addition to his operating and consulting experience, Wayne co-founded the Financial Services Consulting Practice at Mazars LLP/SMART Consulting and Business Advisory, helping large and middle-market organizations integrate finance and operations to improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.

Earlier in his career, Wayne held leadership roles with Swiss Re North America, GE Capital, and Deloitte Consulting Group.
