Frederick Bara, CPA is a Managing Director and heads DLA’s Tax Practice. Fred has over 20 years of tax and accounting experience. He leads the team in providing tax advisory, compliance, and controversy solutions to DLA clients.

Fred is a pragmatic leader that listens to his clients’ needs and executes customized plans to achieve their goals. He has business, individual, and trust experience ranging from start-ups selecting tax efficient entity structures to established businesses looking for ways to minimize taxes through proper planning and tax strategy. Fred remains current on tax law changes, state and local tax issues, and estate planning. He has deep experience researching complex tax matters and leveraging his past experiences to offer advice on complex business and individual tax planning to ensure that clients do not pay avoidable taxes. Fred has also represented clients in federal and state audits to minimize potential exposure and achieve more desirable results.
