Managing Director, Internal Audit
Paul Klein is a Managing Director with at David Landau & Associates, and serves as the firm’s Not-for-Profit and Higher Education industry team leader. He provides information technology, internal audit, enterprise risk management, project management, process engineering, and operations improvement advisory services to our firm’s non-profit clients. His engagements have included risk assessments, internal audits, IT application controls reviews, system selections, technical training development and deployment, IT strategic planning, technology effectiveness assessments, financial budgeting and planning, global systems implementations, consolidated financial reporting, and process re-engineering and implementations.
Paul has over twenty-five years of consulting experience. In that time, he has managed audits for over one hundred not-for-profit clients of varying sizes and complexity in areas such as business operations and IT security. He has been an active developer of thought leadership on enterprise risk management and has helped to develop a scalable approach and methodology for implementing ERM at not-for-profit institutions.
Prior to joining DLA, Paul led the Not-for-Profit Advisory Practice for Grant Thornton LLP’s Atlantic Coast region. He also held management positions at Ernst & Young and at CSC Consulting.
